Tonightβs puck drop will be done by Nate Mosterd, a volunteer firefighter with the Sioux Center Fire Department. Nate has been serving as a firefighter for 15 years, and was inspired as he grew up next to the Ireton Fire Department, always seeing them serving their community and helping others, so he wanted to do the same when he got the chance. Nate feels the best part of being a firefighter is seeing the kids come to the fire station and showing them all we do and the tools we use, and seeing their smiles on their faces.Β

Each year, we take a moment to honor the memory of Josh Beltman, a beloved member of the Sioux Center hockey family. Josh played defense for the Tornadoes and Storm, known for his hard work on the ice and his unmatched courage off it as he bravely battled cancer during his senior year.
Josh's legacy lives on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His ever-present smile, his kindness, and his ability to make everyone feel valued and welcome will never be forgotten.
On the ice, Josh was known for his powerful slapshot, his commanding presence (especially as a PeeWee), and the playful rivalry of scoring against his goalie friends. Off the ice, he is remembered for his faith, his big heart, and the joy he brought to those around him.
Josh's impact continues to inspire us all, and we are grateful for the time we had with him. This tribute ensures his spirit remains a cherished part of our hockey community.
